History

Like the genesis for many Montessori schools ours lies in the frustrations that parents feel when they begin to look for a high-quality educational program.  Out of concern about the lack of quality of care available and the realization that urban neighborhoods of Richmond and the families that live in them, like Churchill and Fulton Hill amongst others, had none of the valuable educational choices that are available in other parts of the Greater Richmond area.  In seeing neighborhoods in search of an excellent alternative school program specifically Montessori we opened our school on November 12, 2007. We were amazed then, and still are, by the amount of good-will and support we have received from Church Hill and the surrounding communities.
