What’s Happening Right Now…

GrandFriends and Grandparents are enjoying some time with their family and friends in their classrooms. What a great turnout! The students are so excited to show off their school and to share part of their day with them, they give small gifts of gratitude; a flower, a painting, a poem or a song. We’re thankful that we have such a great Hospitality Committee and PAC for arranging hosts, photographers and delicious refreshments for our Grand Guests!

Toddler:  The toddlers are thankful for peep holes in the fence so they can see tractors cutting the grass at Jefferson Park, clear skies so they can see airplanes and helicopters flying overhead, and stickers and paper so they can take home special projects to their parents at the end of the day.

Upper Elementary and Middle School: “I’m thankful for food and shelter”, “I’m thankful for life.”, “I’m thankful to have a house.”, “I’m thankful that the time of segregation and discrimination is trying to be over.”, “I’m thankful for my computer.”, I am thankful for my loving family and how they support me.”, “I am thankful for not being a turkey at Thanksgiving.”, “I am thankful that I have family, friends and a life.”, “I am thankful for the FOOD!” “I am thankful that I get to see Grams!”

Infant: Fresh diapers, warm bottles and comfy laps to enjoy them in, cold teethers to sooth the ache of new teeth, long naps to let us rest up for the rest of the day, and snuggles from our loving caretakers (and sometimes from our older toddler friends).

Venessa’s Primary: “I am thankful for horse riding lessons”, “I am thankful for my mom and dad.”, “I am thankful when my brother hugs me.”, “Thankful for butterflies.”, “I am thankful for kitties.”, “Thankful for my mom and dad especially when Mom’s on a trip and she returns.”, “I am thankful for students and pizza.”, “I am thankful for swim team.”
